Hello Unity Friends and Family,
“Trying to Fool God”
Have you ever found yourself saying “nice” things in prayer to try and convince God of something? Have you sought to get your will and way done even though you haven’t yet asked if there is a better plan than yours? Have you asked for stuff in a nice way even though you don’t think you are worthy of what you are asking for? Have you ever been “nice” to God hoping that God wouldn’t see the awful things you have thought and done?
Read the story of the Prodigal Son in the Bible and see that there is no fooling God because God isn’t judging or waiting to let us know that God is right. God IS, so Love IS. We are loved with an everlasting Love and we don’t have to please God or convince God of how good or deserving we might be. God cannot not love us. However, that doesn’t mean we can get stuff without the consciousness to have it. That is just Divine Law and we can’t alter Law no matter how nicely we ask. If you want to experience something…anything, you must raise your consciousness up to meet it.
So, with all thy getting, get understanding…and wisdom. When we are seeking to live in integrity, we can miss the mark and not have to be afraid of the consequences. We can admit we fell short and seek to do better. We never again have to try to get God to do our bidding because we fooled God into thinking something that is just not true. Truth and Wisdom and Love and Light never hold a grudge. Once we learn to practice this with ourselves and God, we can start practicing it with people. We won’t have to try and fool anybody else. Thank goodness!
