“Those who leave everything in God’s hand will eventually see God’s hand in everything.”
I don’t know who I am quoting there. However, I believe that is a true statement. There is an old instruction to “Let go and let God.” I didn’t understand that for a long time. It amounts to the same thing as the first statement.
In order to give over everything to God in order to know God in everything, I need to have a God that I can trust and believe in the good of. If I have a God that I think is untrustworthy, I’m not letting go of anything.
Many people are angry that God has let so many awful things happen. Why do people have to suffer? Why do people die? Why are there wars? Why is there sickness? Why do children die? Why can’t I be relieved of my alcoholism, drug addiction, compulsions, poverty, confusion, diseases, etc…? Why won’t God do this for me…excuse me, us?
It’s not that God won’t do this stuff that we ask. The real question is, when will I take responsibility for peace in my mind, my body, my life and my world? When will I trust that if I turn life over to LOVE and INTELLIGENCE I will see and experience life differently? Now is a good time to do this.
But how?
One thought at a time. Decide now that if I decide that Love and Intelligence is in this thing I think of as a problem, it will shift from a problem to understanding to solution to a healing opportunity and peace for all.
The song says let peace begin with me, not let peace begin with God. God is Peace itself. Now I must become open to allow peace to begin in my mind and that will be the beginning of the end of war and disease and poverty and disillusionment. I must first release the problem as I perceive it and admit that there is a divine solution and opportunity that can be revealed if I allow it.
An alcoholic cannot transform alcoholism from drunkenness to becoming a pillar of a sober community without first admitting there is a problem and then admitting there is a solution and that they won’t “figure it out”, but that they must show up in order to find out how.
We cannot transform disease within our mind and body without a shift in thought. We don’t even have to know what the thought is, but we need to trust that if we are open to a thought of connect with Source, that thought will take place.
As we begin to make True thinking a habit, we will see that the hand of God has always been in everything and we need to maintain this habit now.
Give it over to God means offer your thinking/story over to the very source of thinking for a TRUE thought.
