Hello Unity Friends and Family,
“Do I Want to Be Right About This…?”
I have spoken about this a lot on the pulpit, but it bears reiteration. Over the years I have let the misuse of my Power of Imagination take over my mind and I have had disagreements (arguments) with people who aren’t in the room/car with me.
It’s always unsettling and wildly inauthentic. What do I do about it? I have found a way that works for me. I interrupt the argument and I ask myself, “Shawn, do you really want to be right about THIS?” The answer is always, “No, I don’t.” That doesn’t mean that the sensations fade away immediately, but with the constant interruptions, the illusions begin to fade.
I never want to be right about myself or anyone else being less than a beloved child of God. NEVER! That doesn’t mean I won’t forget, but as long as I can remember that I do not want to be right about myself or anyone else being less than GOOD, I have a chance at peace.
Let’s go forward today knowing what our heart’s desire actually is and have our peace and joy that is rightfully ours.
Glad to be open to new thoughts,
Rev. Shawn
