Hello Unity Friends and Family,
"Here To Love?"
The other day I heard someone say that they are here to learn. If God is Knowledge itself, then there is only stuff to remember, not to learn. So I thought about it and I wondered, why are we here? Some say to wake up. They might be right. It could be I’m asleep. I thought about it some more and thought that the reason I’m anywhere is to love.
Because I seem to have frequent lapses of memory, I need to constantly seek reminders of how to love. How do I love myself when I try to separate myself from God. It doesn’t matter that I can’t separate from God, I hate myself for making it seem as if I had. How do I love myself through that experience? Ask. Go within and ask how. I have discovered for certain that there is a Voice within me that loves me and cannot not love me. That Voice will guide me every time I ask with a sincere desire to Know.
If I now know why I’m here, to love, then I can stop asking “Why am I here?” I can now ask, “How do I love this being…and this being…and myself…and life?” It is within me to love; in spite of what anybody is telling me. I don’t have to hate. I don’t have to criticize. I don’t have to do anything but love.
Love takes many forms but it is still love. Love in its pure form never hurts anybody, although it can sure disappoint the five senses. Love really gets in the way of getting high from the senses. Love never disappoints the spirit, however. Love strengthens ideas and soothes confusion.
So now we know, we are here to love and here’s some good news. There is no shortage of it. Take all you want and give it away generously.
